Giving A Gift
Who doesn’t love receiving gifts, whether it’s for Christmas your birthday, or even that special occasion.
But of course to receive gifts, one must also need to be the bearer of gifts.
They say the more you give the more you receive, especially if you are someone who expects nothing in return.
The joy of giving I believe far outweighs receiving, do you remember the eyes of small children how they light up when they see they see that gift and tear the wrapping off, so rewarding.
What Gift To Give?
Some times we need a little help to try to decide which is the right gift for the right person.
You will pleased to see I have added a few ideas, which I am sure you will find very helpful.
Product Reviews
Like most things in life it’s great to find out some extra information and one of the best ways is with reading reviews of gifts you are considering purchasing especially if your shopping online it is easy to do and the best example is AMAZON.com, they have a rating system and most reviews whether good or not so good are posted which is very reassuring for perspective buyers, wouldn’t you agree.
And if you’re happy with the gift review you can purchase your gift right there and then, which is great.
Gift Prices
We all shop around and look at and compare prices certainly when we are shopping online.
Unfortunately some times the lowest priced gifts have a catch!
Sadly there are still some very shady businesses so be sure to do your due diligence on the business before ordering, reputable companies like AMAZON.com you can always rely on plus they do offer some very special prices if you check regularly.
Please be wary low priced gifts from unknown sources can be risky.
Gift And Sizes
One major problem we all have when giving a gift is with offering clothing apparel and shoes.
Unless they are members of your family or very close friends getting the right size can actually turn out to be embarrassing if we get the incorrect size.
Yes we can ask other family members of friends to discreetly find out, but if your not sure but you want to give a gift of that type then it is probably wise to stick with accessories for clothing or jewelry or perfume whichever gender it may be for.
So think twice before choosing those types of gifts to give.
Gift Lists
Just recently I was caught with a red face, I got the date of one of my grandsons wrong especially when I put it on Facebook because they live overseas, what shame!
So it’s obvious, to me now that I keep an up to date list of all the birthday’s, anniversaries etc, which means that I will always know when it’s time to give a gift.
Don’t do what I did and embarrass yourself put your list together and include all those that you wish to give a gift too!
Gift Choices
Always take into consideration the recipient of the gift you wish to give.
Gone are the days when you buy socks for a child or you give Grandma a neglige, be very thoughtful.
Age and gender are of course the most important factors, then whether the person is family or a close friend, or maybe it’s a “Secret Santa” at work, ask yourself if it is something you would like to receive, if it’s for fun great, because you expect to receive a fun gift too!
Common sense prevails when it comes to choice, enjoy the pleasure of the moment of giving.
The Gift Of Giving
I remember my mother always said when it comes to giving a gift to anyone whether it is beloved ones, friends, work mates or even your boss or your employees, it’s the thought that counts and not the monetary value of the gift.
As I mentioned above the joy of giving a gift far out weights the receiving of a gift, yes we all love to get gifts, but remember the look on that child’s face as they open their gift, the ultimate pleasure of giving one can have.
The thought behind the gift surpasses the monetary value always.
